Standing, waiting for a train
The sky above dark and entrancing
Pulls me from my current time
And leaves me up there, stranded
Looking down and inward
Searching for a way to climb down.
I find that spectral city
I used to see half in my mind
At the end of nights in the back seat
Through a closed car window
Imagining vaguely at brick buildings
With no outside air on my face.
I'm there in my old bed
Staring at the curtains that blow
In the wind of nights' past
The blue not yet stained by
Metaphorical red
Filtering my coming dreams into vastness
I was empty then
I did look inward for my self
But I collected the outside
And cultivated a dream factory
Or a garden, perhaps
Made or grown, a little of both
And now a maiden grown
Within this creation
Of my own alien hand
That looks less me each day
And more like one
That I'd shy away from holding
But with that and all out of view
I now turn my attention to you,
My world of past imaginings

A degree of dream away
In the dragon lands
Of the lunar sands
Conversing in silence forever to stay
I am that dragon, awake in our minds
Nameless as long as my wings have been furled
Called upon by an outside distress
So far removed in a forgotten world
Those who share my reality
Now are set apart from me
For I alone received this plea
The lone lighthouse across the sea
Of space and dream...
Spindles of thought, stronger than horn
Relay awful memories vivid and moving
No word for what has me so forlorn
But no doubt there is not much hope of improving
Those who share that reality
Could benefit from what I see
For I along with those with me
Can guide this lion across the sea

Those who blend with my existence
Dragons of my violet shade
Live in this constant canopy
Ignoring those in temporal glade

I wanted my last release of this decade to be special. This is special to me. Eight tracks and 45 minutes of introspection and dreams of all sorts. Come with me. We will ascend together, from childhood memories to dreams you wish were real to finding one's own Self in dreams and memories. And at the end, despite everything, everything is real, and everything that matters happened within the reality that matters.
A couple of the songs on this album have been sitting unfinished for a while. "Blue Witch of the Sea" in particular has withstood a number of heavy revisions since 2014, and "Dragon of the Other Moon" has been pretty much three different songs in succession since 2015. I'm very glad that I can finally feel comfortable with these being done.
There may be physical copies of this album in the future. We shall see how the start of the new decade goes.
